Several months ago, I found this vintage yardage at my favorite antique store. It's pretty rare to find a 3 yard piece of vintage fabric in mint condition. Plus, check out it's Brady Bunch vibe. It was too fabulous to leave behind! It has hung in my fabric closet for months on end, while I waited for inspiration to strike. I am thrilled with it's incarnation into my new Summer bag. The wooden circle handles always conjure memories of 70's macrame for me, so I thought they would be perfect here. The fabric is slightly heavier with an interesting "slub" texture. The inside is a bright turquoise print from Heather Bailey's Bijoux collection. It's happy and fun enough to hold it's own with the outside. The style is slouchy, stuffable, and the perfect size for magazines and water bottles--my summer staples.
And, because I shouldn't be the only one with this song in my head today...
Check out Bobby's "smooth" solo. Hillarious.

I do love the bag, but I also love that cute little model that is holding the bag as well. When I move, I guess I will have to convert to ordering like everyone else via your website. I will miss calling when I want something stored.
So cute! How lucky of you to find such fun fabric! And I just want to say that when I look on my blog and see that your blog is at the top of my blog list as being updated, I get excited! I love going to your blog and seeing what you have come up with next! You are so talented! Wish we lived closer so you could teach me a few things!
Everybody's Smiling! Sunshine Day
For some of us, that footage seemed like just yesterday and some of us never left the era...from our flower dresses, over shoulder hobo bags and beads! Way to inspire another generation of Brady bunches! Love that fabric to pieces!
